NATCHEZ — Services for Alverna Bonham “Tootsie” Scott, 85, who died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edwin Temple officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Scott was born April 18, 1925, in Natchez, the daughter of Thomas O’Connor and Minnie Bringle Bonham.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harry R. Scott.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Scott and one nephew, Vernon L. Hackler, both of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Marks, Leroy Goss, Jack Goss and the men of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church.
