Copiah-Lincoln to dedicate building
NATCHEZ — Copiah-Lincoln Community College will dedicate the Howell C. Garner Instructional Center on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Natchez campus. The public is invited.
The $4.2 million, state-of-the-art center will house health care programs and laboratories, including Respiratory Care diagnostic systems used by no other college in the United States.
The program will include remarks, a musical presentation, ribbon cutting, refreshments and tours.
Co-Lin officials, including members of the Board of Trustees, along with state, regional and local officials are expected to attend.
Garner, retired Co-Lin president, was instrumental in the development of the center, overseeing the purchase of the land off Col. Pitchford Parkway, and earning approval of the Adams County Board of Supervisors for funding.
