Mogene Brown

NATCHEZ — Services for Mogene C. Brown, 86, of Butler, Ala., formerly of Natchez, who died Monday, March 7, 2011, at Willow Trace Nursing Center in Butler, will be at 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Darrell Collins, Nathan Triplett and Dathan Triplett officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown was born Sept. 26, 1924, in Newton County, Ga., the daughter of John Randolph Cooper and Flossie Bell George Cooper. She was retired from the Georgia Public School Employees Retirement System.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jeff Brown; two sons, Wayne Piper and Ronnie Piper; and a number of brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Connie Triplett Easterwood of Meridian; one son, Steve Brown of Fort Smith, Ark.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Triplett, Dathan Triplett, Andy Triplett, Dominick Triplett, Austin Triplett and Jourdan Brown.
