JACKSON — A two-week investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has led to the arrest of a Port Gibson man.
Dexter Watson, 40, was charged with murder in the death of Patricia Dotson. Dotson’s body was found on March 6 with a stab wound to her upper torso behind the First Baptist Church in Port Gibson.
Investigators were able to match blood they found on Watson’s clothes to that of Dotson’s. This investigation is ongoing and will be turned over to the Claiborne County District Attorney’s Office.
