MPB to televise governor’s awards

NATCHEZ — Mississippi Public Broadcasting will televise The Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts at 8 p.m. on Thursday.

The Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration, founded and co-sponsored by Copiah-Lincoln Community College, was the recipient of one of the awards during a ceremony in Jackson on Feb. 24. Representing Co-Lin at the event were Ronnie Nettles, president; Teresa Busby, vice president, Carolyn Vance Smith, co-chairman of the NLCC, and Anthony Morris, member of the Co-Lin Board of Trustees.
