GLOSTER — Services for Laysol VanNorman, 50, of Gloster, who died Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Damascus Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. VanNorman was born July 9, 1960, in Gloster, the son of Linex and Alma Net Bell VanNorman.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie and Susie Pickney Bell and Edward and Bertha Huggins VanNorman.
Survivors include two precious daughters, Shakisha Perry of Baton Rouge and Natasha Allen and companion, Kendrick Harris, of Gloster; one son, Antwan VanNorman and wife, Kandi, of Gloster; her devoted parents; three sisters, Narjis Paulette Ugdah and husband, Mikal, of Hattiesburg, Aletha Herring of San Antonio, Texas and Sheroa Morris and husband, Robert, Zachary, La.; five brothers, Lyndon VanNorman, Sylvester VanNorman and wife, Lillie, all of Gloster, Linex Earl VanNorman Jr. and wife, Denise, of Detroit, Freddie VanNorman and wife, Tara, of Wilson, La., and William VanNorman and wife, Liza, of McComb; special friend, Linda Robinson; seven grandchildren; one goddaughter; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
