NATCHEZ – Graveside services for Adell Blalack Powell, 88, of Waterproof, who died Friday, April 1, 2011, will be at 3 p.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Mrs. Powell was a homemaker and a member of Tensas First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Powell; her father, Frank Blalack; her mother, Clemmie Porter; and one sister, Frances Gates.

Survivors include one daughter, Dolores Black and husband, Donald, of Waterproof; two sons, Charles Powell and wife, Joann, of Clinton and Terry Powell and wife, Frances, of Shreveport; one brother, Johnnie Blalack and wife, Frances, of Waterproof; four grandsons, John Black and wife, Samantha, Jayce Powell and wife, Stephanie, Kevin Powell and wife, Allson, and Scott Powell and wife, Alyssa; three granddaughters, Jennifer Brackin and husband, Michael, Alecia Powell, and Amanda Tolbert and husband, Albert. 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be John Black, Jayce Powell, Kevin Powell, Scott Powell, Mike Brackin and Albert Tolbert.
