VIDALIA — Services for Beverly C. Dayton, 77, who died Friday, April 1, 2011, in Vidalia, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Vidalia with Dr. Ralph Webber and Bro. Bill McCullin officiating.

Burial will follow at Harrisonburg Cemetery in Harrisonburg, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home of Vidalia.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the start of service time at the church on Sunday, April 3, 2011.

Mrs. Dayton was born on Jan. 9, 1934, in Ruston, La., to William David and Eunice Duck. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia and of the Gideon Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her husband and three sons.

Mrs. Dayton was preceded in death by her parents and one son, John William Dayton.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 62 years Barry “Rip” Dayton of Vidalia; Barry Dayton Jr. and wife Marie of Patterson, La.; David Dayton and fiancé Katie Kanbar of Bastrop, La.; daughter-in-law Patsy Dayton of Shreveport; daughter-in-law Rose Dayton Cambell of Fayette; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
