Darryl J. Verrett Sr.

Sept. 12, 1957 – March 24, 2011

NATCHEZ — Services for Darryl J. Verrett Sr., 53, of Natchez, who died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2011, at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mack Willis officiating.

Buril will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Verrett was born Sept. 12, 1957, in New Orleans, the son of Leo Sr. and Lilla Verrett. He was employed by Loomis Fargo as an armored car driver. He was retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael Verrett; and one sister, Dianne Westbrook.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Verrett; one daughter, LaTonia Willis; two sons, Darryl Jr. and David Verrett; three sisters, Lynn Riley and Gloria Moore, both of Shreveport, La., and Ida Newell of San Bernardino, Calif.; two brothers, Leo Jr. and Merlin Verrett of New Orleans; two brothers-in-law, Mack Cleveland and Larry Willis, both of Kenner, La.; one sister-in-law, Kathy Willis; two grandchildren, Steven Tyasha; and a number of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
