Trey and Cathey Frederick of Vidalia announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelby Frederick to Andy Tipton, son of Jammie Eidt of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and is attending Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge.

She is the granddaughter of Elaine Edwards of Alexandria, La., and the late Dale Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Ricketts of Winnfield, La., Mr. and Mrs. Warren Frederick Jr., of Vidalia, and the late Roy and Lucille Zimmerman of Winnfield.

The groom-to-be is also attending Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge and is employed by Anytime Fitness in Baton Rouge as a personal trainer.

He is the grandson of Doyle Breland and the late Geanie Breland.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Cornerstone Church in Vidalia.

A reception will follow at The Party Barn.
