NATCHEZ — Services for Walter James Johnson Sr., 75, who died Friday, April 1, 2011, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mark Baptist Church in Kingston with the Rev. Josh Whitley officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was born July 4, 1935, the son of Henrietta Stephey and George Wiggins.

Mr. Johnson was a member of Zion Flower Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Troy M. Johnson; and one son-in-law, Eddie Davis.

Survivors include two sons, Walter James Johnson Jr. and wife, Tresa, and Donald Ray Johnson; five daughters, Margaret Carr and husband, Kenneth, Yvonne Davis, Luella Farmer and husband, Roosevelt, Shirley Johnson and Jacqueline McNeely and husband, Robert; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; special cousin, Olivia Banks; and a number of loving and wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
