OLLA, La. — The Block High School baseball team could not produce any offense against LaSalle Thursday night and ended up dropping the District 3-1A match up 10-0.
“We just were not ready to play ball,” Block coach Stevie McCarthy said.
“We couldn’t hit the ball and made a lot of errors.”
Block was only able to get one hit against LaSalle starter Levi Stringer. Stringer pitched all six innings and struck out 10 Bears hitters.
Chase Duncan took the loss for Block.
The loss hurts Block’s chances of making the playoffs and they will have to start winning some games, McCarthy said.
“Well right now we’re ranked around 25 out of 32, so we can’t afford to slip up anymore,” McCarthy said.
Block will host Kilbourne at 3 p.m. Saturday.
