FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Services for Lanora Cook Warren, 77, of Winslow, Ark., who died Monday, April 11, 2011, after a long battle with cancer, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Beards Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marsha Cooley officiating.

Burial will follow at Coil Cemetery in Winslow.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Warren was born April 19, 1933, in Winslow, the daughter of Melvin “Pete” Cook and Marlis King Cook.

She was a wife, mother, homemaker, caregiver, grandmother, sister and above all “friend.”

She was preceded in death by one son, George C. Warren, daddy and momma, Pete and Helen Cook; mother and daddy, Marlis and Conner Mugley; one sister, Doris Mugley Yerton; and sister and brother-in-law, Cathy Mugley Warren and Norman Warren.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Adams and wife, Rona, of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Kenneth Warren and wife, Nancy, of Springdale, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Cindy Center Warren Julich; eight brothers, Kenneth and Cippy Cook, John and Rosilee Mugley, all of West Fork, Ark., Bob Cook of Morrow, Okla., Leon and Cathy Cook of Hydro, Okla., Dwight Cook and Roy Dale Cook, both of Madill, Okla., Hubert and Linda Cook of Creswell, Ore., Mike and Sherry Cook, and John and Jo Cook, all of Lincoln, Ark.; three sisters, Ruby Reed of Winslow, Joyce McCaslin of Elkins, Ark., and Brenda and Hank Ackley of Lowell, Ark.; grandchildren, Bobbi Lindley, James Adair, Jennifer Adair, Cory Warren, Shane Warren and Dawn Nelson, Austin and Christy Adams, George “Will” Adams, Erin and Jacob Flusche, Michael Goodman, Christopher Goodman, Sarah Goodman, Micah and Kim Warren, Grayson Warren, Chris and Jennifer Whittle and Josh Whittle.
