NATCHEZ — Services for Cora Turner White, 96, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cannonsburg.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. White was born Nov. 15, 1914, in Cannonsburg, the daughter of the Rev. Elijah Turner and Effie Tyler Turner. She was a member of the Golden Mutual United Friends Society, Bethlehem Baptist Church Mother Board and the Herion of Jericho Court 202.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel White Jr.; five sisters; two brothers; two great-grandchildren; and one son-in-law, the Rev. Edmon Jackson.

Survivors include one loving daughter, Josephine Jackson; seven grandchildren, Daniel White and wife, Kathryn, Larry White and wife, Dorothy, Carl White and wife, Jackie, Cora Givens and husband, Larry, Ricky Jackson and wife, Beverly, Donna Horton and Edmon Jackson Jr., all of Natchez; one sister, Annie Bell Stokes of Los Angeles; two brothers, Elijah Turner Jr. of Michigan and Monroe Turner of Fayette; 25 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; one godchild, Edna Holmes and husband, Edwin; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
