Past, present and future came together Saturday as Alcorn State University inaugurated its 18th president, M. Christopher Brown.
The day started early with an ecumenical prayer service at Oakland Memorial Chapel on the ASU campus. For Brown, the day was filled with all sorts of emotions.
Ministers surround Brown to perform the “Prayer of Endowment.”
Events will continue today in Natchez, culminating with a public reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on the bluff.
