NATCHEZ — Services for Bertha Ava Spillers, 92, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Adams County Nursing Center, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Spillers was born Feb. 12, 1919, in Epps, La., the daughter of L.H. and Mary Ella Kimbro. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard Spillers; six sisters, Vallie Ferguson, Dora Keary, Ollie Dukes, Revelle Tibby Holmes, Doris Arnold and Evelyn Smith; and three brothers, Vernon Kimbro, Clarence Kimbro and Clifford Kimbro.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Kimbro and Keith Willoughby; one sister, Roma Golden, all of Natchez; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Keith Willoughby, Chuck Golden, Kendall Golden, Gary Golden, David Kimbro and Craig Godbold.
