NATCHEZ — Services for Eddie Joseph “Laidbac” Seyfarth, 62, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam W. Bishop officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Eddie Joseph “Laidbac” Seyfarth was born March 18, 1949, in Natchez, the son of Marion Edward Seyfarth Sr. and Margaret Vermell Matthews Seyfarth. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Purple Heart Society, Veteran of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and Leathernecks Motorcycle Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sarah Paige Seyfarth; and one brother, Marion E. Seyfarth Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Marla Ann Seyfarth and Angelica Noel Seyfarth, both of Natchez; one granddaughter, Madison Cheyenne Lisenby; two brothers, Oscar L. Seyfarth of Natchez and Henry V. Seyfarth of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Margaret M. Lofton, Gloria F. Smith and Minta Jane Gray, all of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be friends and Leathernecks.
