CLAYTON — Funeral services for Clyde Nathan Green, 71, of Clayton, who died Friday, April 22, 2011, at Rapides General Medical Center in Alexandra, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Clayton First Pentecostal Church.

Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Mr. Green was born Oct. 14, 1939, in Foules, La., the son of Brady Green and Mary White Green. He was a resident of Clayton, a supervisor for the police jury and a member of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Johnson Green and his parents.

Survivors include his son, Freddie Green and wife, Shannan of Ferriday; two grandchildren, Evelyn Marie and Freddie Green; one great grandchild, Houston Alexandria Smith and two sisters, Mary Jane Barron and Ruby Irene Green, both of Ferriday.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Green Jr., Jackie Cornwell Jr., Johnny Dobson, Laudell Johness, Nathan Johness and Taylor Foreman.

The honorary pallbearer will be Billy Harris.
