Mike and Sue Guedon announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Guedon, to Carson Cruise, son of Don and Vickie Cruise, all of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez and a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville. She is attending Mississippi College in Clinton.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emile Guedon of Natchez and Mr. Hugh Spivey and the late Margaret Spivey of Atlanta.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez and also a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville. He is attending the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in Jackson.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Carolyn Cruise and the late Willie Joe Cruise and Mr. and Mrs. John L. McCabe, all of Liberty.

The wedding will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011, at The Cedars in Natchez. A reception will follow.
