NATCHEZ — Services for Shirley Ruth Welch, 58, of Ferriday, who died Friday, May 6, 2011, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Abundant Life Church in Natchez with Pastor Crispin Schroeder and Bro. John Collard officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church.

Mrs. Welch was born Oct. 27, 1952, the daughter of Roy Hoover Watson and Dorothy Lanell Walker Watson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lynn Welch; son John Allen Allerman Jr.; two brothers, Paul Bilbo and Johnny Mac Watson; and granddaughter Danah Lanell Carter.

Survivors include two daughters, Dina Schroeder and husband Crispin of Abita Springs, La., Cathy Carter of Vidalia; one brother Buddy Watson of Monterey; two sisters, Linda Cortez and Diane Wiley, both of Tunica, La.; two granddaughters Tevia Schroeder and Miranda Carter; four grandsons, Ezra Schroeder and Mitchell, Devin and Dillon Carter; and a number of nieces and nephews.
