Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Richardson of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. David R. Smith Jr. of Vidalia announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Smith, to Matt Armstrong, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Armstrong of Jackson.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez and a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She is employed as a dental hygienist in Jackson.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David R. Smith Sr. in Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. David Nash of Meadville.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Jackson Academy in Jackson and a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville. He is employed by Fisher Brown Bottrell Insurance, Inc., in Jackson.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther Armstrong of Booneville and the late Mr. Irving Godwin and Mrs. Clara Godwin of Freeport, Fla.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Parkway Baptist Church in Natchez. A reception will follow at Brandon Hall Plantation.
