Mr. and Mrs. Steve Whittington of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Haley Elizabeth Whittington, to Elliot Meng, son of Mrs. Randy Calvert Meng of Frogmore and Gregory Meng of Senatobia.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and a graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford. She is interning at Silas Simmons in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold M. Whittington and Mrs. Patsy Burns, all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez and also a graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford. He is employed by Sam Calvert Sons, Inc., in Frogmore.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Meng of Natchez and the late Loff and Eunice Calvert of Frogmore.

The wedding will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011, at The Elms in Natchez.
