CENTREVILLE — Services for Opal Simpson Smiley, 91, of Centreville, who died Monday, May 9, 2011, at Wilkinson County Senior Care, will be at 2 p.m. today at Newman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dennis Johnsey officiating.

Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smiley was born May 21, 1919, in Amite County, the daughter of Lonnie Simpson and Lena Hughes Simpson. She was a homemaker and a member of Centreville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilford B. Smiley; one brother, Lonnie T. “Junior” Simpson; one sister, Myrtle Simpson Melton; and one grandson, Trey D’Aquilla.

Survivors include three daughters, Yvonne Stutzman, Dianne Boykin and Betty D’Aquilla and husband, Carl, all of Centreville; one son, Bruce Smiley and wife, Cindi, of St. Amant, La.; 11 grandchildren, Buddy Stutzman, Bobby Stutzman, Brian Stutzman, Becky Stutzman Cavin, Kermie Boykin, Kenny Boykin, Travis D’Aquilla, Michael D’Aquilla, Joey Smiley, Candi Barbay and Tony Smiley; and one brother, Ray C. Simpson of Monterey.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
