CENTREVILLE — Services for James Arthur McKnight, 65, of Belle Rose, La., who died Friday, May 6, 2011, in Gonzales, La., will be at noon Saturday at Nathaniel Baptist Church in Centreville.
Burial will follow at Beech Grove Baptist Church in Woodville under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at William and Souphall Funeral Home in Napoleonville, La., and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. McKnight was born May 8, 1945, in Centreville, the son of Henry Jr. and Earnestine McNabb.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Fletcher McNabb Sr.; and two nephews, Jerry Hamilton and Henry Harris.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Allen and Camella Carter; a devoted companion, Mona Butler; six sisters, Shirley McNabb, Mary McNabb, Alice McNabb, Anna McNabb, Ester McNabb and Molly McNabb; two brothers, Henry McNabb III and Charles McNabb; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
