Mrs. Ruth Powers of Natchez announces the engagement of her daughter, Sarah Virginia Powers to William Bisland Foley, son of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Foley of Hattiesburg.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Mr. Patrick Powers of Natchez.

She is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville. She is employed by Waycaster and Associates in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shumway of Vidalia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Garland Powers of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez. He is employed by Foley Tile and Marble in Natchez.

He is the grandson of Mr. Francis Martin and Mrs. Camille Rogers Harris and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Foley, all of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 7 p.m., May 21, 2011, at St. Mary Basilica in Natchez. A reception will follow at Memorial Park.
