PORT GIBSON β€” Services for Wilton S. Brown, 94, of Lorman, who died Monday, May 16, 2011, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel in Port Gibson with the Rev. Albert Parsons officiating and the Rev. Charles Gammill assisting.

Burial will follow at Cane Ridge Cemetery in Lorman under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown was a native and lifelong resident of Lorman and Blue Hill. He was retired from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks as a wildlife conservation officer. He was also a cattle farmer.

Mr. Brown was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He attended Unity Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Mable Shelton Brown of Lorman; one daughter, Sue S. Spann and husband, Phil, of Ridgeland; two sons, Burnie W. Brown and wife, Jean, of Lorman and Johnnie R. β€œRay” Brown and wife, Nan, of Saltillo; seven grandchildren, Joe Brown and wife, Tina, of Brandon, Angela Fountain of Memphis, Tenn., Belinda Taft and husband, Chris, and Jamie Spann, all of Hattiesburg, Brian Brown and wife, Renee, of Pattison, Tim Spann of Ridgeland and Nick Spann of Laurel; and six great-grandchildren,

Pallbearers will be Joel Brown, Brian Brown, Jamie Spann, Timothy Spann, Nicholas Spann, Chris Taft, Kerry Brown and Virgil Scott.

Honorary pallbearers will be Claude Cockerham Jr., James Ray Burnett, Jimmy Cole, Robert Starnes, Mike Piazza and Mary Roberts.
