NATCHEZ — Services for Annie Wallace Clark, 87, of Natchez, who died Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Saturday at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church.
Mrs. Clark was born Sept. 22, 1923, in Natchez, the daughter of Joseph and Anese Pettis Bernard. She served on the Mother Board at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church and was a member of Natchez Fellowship Organization-Chicago and F and F Social Organization.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Henry Clark and Nathaniel Wallace; one daughter, Willie M. Watkins; one son, Thomas J. Wallace; one stepdaughter, Sarah Firley; six sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include one son, Joe Wallace and wife, Zita, of Natchez; three daughters, Carrie W. Howard and husband, D.W., of Natchez, Gladys W. West and husband, Esau, of Chicago and Velma W. Culver and husband, Kenneth, of Jackson; one sister, Beatrice B. Lewis and husband, Jessie; one brother, James E. Bernard, all of Natchez; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
