WISNER, La. — Services for Sarah Bingham Minor, 87, of Wisner, La., who died Monday, May 16, 2011, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Wisner with the Rev. L.B. Oliver officiating.

Burial will follow at Hope Estate Community Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Minor was born Nov. 6, 1923, in Wisner, the daughter of Frank Bingham and Rebecca Barnes Bingham. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Mrs. Minor was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Minor; one son, Pink Charles “Pink C” Smith Jr.; and five brothers, Percy Bingham, Charlie Bingham, Charles Bingham, Henry Bingham and Leo Bingham.

Survivors include one son, Frank Bingham; one brother, Joseph Bingham, both of Wisner; two daughters-in-law, Evelyn H. Smith of Natchez and JoEtta Bingham Whitman of Dallas; four grandchildren, Yolanda R. Smith Lyles and husband, James, and Estelle Smith Williams and husband, Forrest, all of Pearland, Texas, Erica Bingham of Dallas and Pink Charles Smith III of Muscat, Oman; four great-grandchildren, Shakeria Antoinette Williams, Jaelyn Evoin Lyles, James Edward Lyles Jr. and Forrest Edward Williams Jr., all of Pearland; four sisters-in-law, Susie Bingham, Josie Bingham and Eloise Bingham, all of Wisner, and Gloria Bingham of Baker, La.; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Rufus Bingham, James Bingham, Joseph Bingham, Lawrence Bingham, Phil Brass and Verdine Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Bingham, P.C. Smith III, James Edward Lyles Sr., James Edward Lyles Jr., Forrest Williams Sr., Forrest Williams Jr. and Joseph Bingham.
