Rosie Marie “Dump” Sanders

GLOSTER — Services for Rosie Marie “Dump” Sanders, 66, of Gloster, who died Monday, May 18, 2011, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. today at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Gloster. Burial will follow at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Sanders was born March 11, 1945, in Franklin County, the daughter of Lula White and Johnny Sanders Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Murphy Sanders Sr.; three brothers, Lawrence Sanders, Lonnie R. Harris Sr. and Van Harris; one sister, Katie Morgan; four sister-in-laws; and two brother-in-laws.

Survivors include six children, Emma Bell and husband Isaac of Gloster, Augustine Sanders, Mary Boyd and husband Daniel, Lucinda Mitchell and husband Mitchell, all of Jackson; Murphy Sanders Jr. and wife Lavonne of Gloster and Shirlene Sanders of Jackson; a special child, Azalea “Baye” Faust; three sisters, Dorothy Williams, Beatrice Stampley and Pearlie Mae Green, all of Roxie; four brothers, Pearlie White Jr., L.J. White, Luther Harris and David Sanders Sr., all of Roxie; four sister-in-laws; four brother in-laws; 26 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
