NATCHEZ — Services for Linda Evans Jackson, 54, of Natchez, who died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Searcy officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jackson was born Sept. 23, 1956, in Memphis, Tenn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Evans. She was a 1975 graduate of South Natchez High School and was employed by the Department of Human Services. She was retired.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leahman Evans and James L. Evans; and one grandson, Rykeem N. Green.
Survivors include one daughter, Kandice Riggs and husband, Anthony, of Natchez; three sons, Kraig Jackson and wife, Wink, of Virginia Beach, Va., Kenric Evans and Kyren Jackson, both of Natchez; four grandchildren, Khalin Green, Kemonte Evans, Lyniyah Evans and Anthony “AJ” Riggs Jr., all of Natchez; six brothers, Charles Evans of Magnolia, Robert Evans Jr. and wife, Joy, of Fort Worth, Texas, William Evans of Atlanta, Darlin Evans and R. Wayne Evans of San Antonio, Texas, and Anthony “Rat” Evans of Natchez; one sister, Dorothy J. Matthews of Natchez; her godmother, Flora Profit; two dear and devoted friends, Nedra Logan Evans of Gulfport and Mary L. Shepherd of Natchez; a special nephew, Terra Evans of Dallas; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tony Davis, Robert Earl Donald, Derrick Jones, Marvin Minor, Lorenzo Smith and Earnest Trask.
