WOODVILLE — Services for Richard L. “Butch” Nettles Jr., 51, who died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. today at Newman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Peak officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Nettles was born Dec. 30, 1959, in Centreville, the son of Shirley Evans and Richard L. Nettles of Woodville.

He was an oil field worker and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include, his mother; one son, Richard L. “Ricky” Nettles III and fiance Brandi of Woodville; one sister, Pam Wallace and her husband Bobby of Olive Branch; two aunts, Carol Geter and her husband Freddie of Vicksburg and Nora Wallace of Wisner, La.; and a number of cousins.

Pallbearers will be David Wallace Sr., David Wallace Jr., Jimmy Ray Rowell, Neyland Smith Sr., Neyland Smith Jr., Justin Satcher, Ronnie Longmire and Bobby Wesberry.
