Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Willie Mae Johnson announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Johnson to Sedric Minor, son of Mr. Romallis and Mrs. Brenda Minor, all of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena. She is employed by Natchez-Adams School District. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. William and Mrs. Ester McNealy, Ms. Fannie Mae Thompson, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson and the late Mr. Pero Johnson Jr., all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez. He is employed by Coca-Cola Refreshments in Natchez.

He is the grandson of Mr. Robert and Mrs. Rosalie Anderson and Mrs. Estelle Minor and the late Mr. Andy Minor, all of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2011, at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church in Natchez. A reception will follow at the Natchez Convention Center.
