NATCHEZ — Isle of Capri employees were busy washing off dirt and mildew from the Mississippi River flooding in preparation for the opening of the casino.
Officials hope to make a decision in the coming days about when the casino will open its door after being forced to close for more than a month by the rising Mississippi River.
The Mississippi River stood at 53.14 feet Monday night. Flood stage is 48 feet.
The casino has been closed since early May.

A layer of silt and dirt left from the Mississippi River flood is scraped off Silver Street at the Isle of Capri casino entrance Monday afternoon.
