MONTEREY — Services for Glenda Faye McKey, 64, of Monterey, who died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at her residence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Eva Church of God in Monterey with the Rev. Whit Bass and the Rev. Joel Ford officiating.

Burial will follow at Lone Pine Cemetery, Monterey, under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. Sunday until service time Monday at the church.

Glenda Faye McKey was born August 9, 1946, the daughter of Charlie and Wessie Morace.

McKey passed away at her home after a struggle with cancer. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend to all.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Glen Dale Ford; and sister, Bobbie Freeman.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil McKey Jr.; one son, Wesley Kirk Ford of Monterey; one daughter, Christal Brigman and husband Darrell of Monterey; grandchildren, Wesley Kirk Ford Jr. and Heather Ford, Andrea Blaney, all of Baton Rouge, Drew McCartney, Calan McCartney and Brooke Brigman, all of Monterey; one great grandson, Bentley James of Baton Rouge; sisters, Scharlene Whitehead, Connie Borgue, all of Monterey, Karen Wascom and husband Charles and Cindy Bass and husband Lank, all of Jonesville; brother, David Morace and wife Dianne of Monterey; sister-in-law, Connie Mulvihill and husband Adam of Pineville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Will Bass, Caleb Bass, Dennis Wascom, Ronnie Duncan, Chris Rouse, Creighton McCall, Chris Powell and Billy Rouse.

Honorary pallbearers will be Drew McCartney, Calan McCartney, Wesley Kirk Ford Jr., Lank Bass, Charles Wascom, Charles Rushing and Grover Elliott.
