PARAMOUNT, Calif. — Services for Geneva Pettis-Williams, 62, of Paramount, Calif., formerly of Natchez, who died May 21, 2011, were June 1, 2011, in Los Angeles.

Arrangements were under the direction of Simpson Family Mortuary of Inglewood, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Pettis and stepfather, Isaac Jones Sr.

Survivors include her mother, Leona Pettis; her husband, the Rev. Harold V. Williams Jr.; five sons, Ronnell, Robert Jr., James Ervin, Eric and Harold III; two daughters, Andrea and Patricia; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren (one of which lived in her home, Prince, and was raised as her son); eight siblings, Jennie Ruth Griffin and husband, Charles, Isaac Jones Jr., all of Natchez, Lionel Jones and wife, Sherline, of Vidalia, Jennie Mae Banks and husband, Jesse, of Los Angeles, Albert Jones and wife, Gloria, of Tavares, Fla., Gearldine Smart and husband, Greg, of Mesquite, Texas, Lorraine James and husband, Donny, of Norwalk, Calif., and Lee Michael-Pettis of Las Vegas (who she met later in her adult life); and a number of other relatives and friends.

Geneva left behind a sweet legacy and memories that will never be forgotten. She fought a good fight and now has a new life up in glory.
