NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Lynda Cheryl “Sherry” Barron, 61, of Natchez, who went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 2, 2011, were 11 a.m. Monday at Washington United Methodist Church with the Rev. Reed McCaleb officiating.

Miss Barron was born March 12, 1950, in Natchez, the daughter of Cecil Milton Barron and Barbara Meschutt Barron Sellers. She was a member of Washington United Methodist Church and was employed by Walmart for nearly 24 years. She loved gardening and decorating.

She was preceded in death by her father and her grandmother, Ellen Starnes Meschutt.

Survivors include her mother of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Libby Barron of Baton Rouge and Bonny Byars of Diamondhead; two nephews, Shawn Byars and his son, Mason, of Diamondhead and Chris Stithem and wife, Sharlee, and their children, Jayden and Landyn, all of New Iberia, La.; one niece, Kimmi Byars of Diamondhead; two aunts, Ruby Meshute of Natchez and Gayle Gates of Baton Rouge; four stepbrothers and stepsisters, Ben, Tommy, Susie and Patrick Sellers, all of Atlanta; special cousin, Sissy Blackwood; a good friend, Roger McRaine, both of Natchez; and a large number of loving cousins and co-workers at Walmart of Natchez.
