NATCHEZ — Services for Andrew B. Glasper, 70, of Natchez, who died Monday, July 4, 2011, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Ford Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Sun Set View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Glasper was born March 4, 1941, in Vidalia, the son of Eddie Glasper and Gertrude Barnes. He retired from the City of Natchez in 2004, after 39 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Glasper; one son; his parents; and one brother.
Survivors include five daughters, Andrea Glasper and husband, Robert, of Vidalia, Sharon Warner, Louise Barnes, Brenda Washington and husband, Major, and Doris Webster and husband, Steward, all of Natchez; one son, Ronnie Webster and wife, Pam, of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Shirley Britton of Winnfield, La.; one sister-in-law, Josephine Green of Los Angeles; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Edward J. Conner Sr., LeWong Hughes, Elbert Hughes Jr., Chris Marvel, Earl Wallace and Steven Washington.
