ST. JOSEPH, La. — Services for Eloise Hatton, 79, of St. Joseph, La., who died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Springhill Baptist Church in St. Joseph with the Rev. Sammie Guice officiating.

Burial will follow at Panola Cemetery in St. Joseph under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Hatton was born Jan. 21, 1932, in Wisner, La., the daughter of George and Gussie Logan Slang.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Mose Hatton.

Survivors include one brother, Frank Slang and wife, Marlene; three sisters, Isabelle Burks and husband, Marion, Ethel Slang, all of New Orleans, and Juanita Scott of St. Joseph; one godchild, Christopher Wilson of Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
