Grand Soleil Hotel robbed at gunpoint

NATCHEZ — Two men wearing ski masks robbed the Grand Soleil Hotel early Saturday morning, according to a Natchez Police Department report.

The men, who are unidentified, held the night clerk at gunpoint and stole approximately $480 from the cash register at approximately 4 a.m., the report states.

The clerk reported that “one suspect jumped over the counter and emptied the cash drawer while the other stood by the door,” according to the report.

Police Chief Mike Mullins said he has no further information at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
