VIDALIA — Services for Larry Darnell “Donnie” Brown, 58, of Vidalia, who died Friday, July 15, 2011, at the Veterans Hospital in Alexandria, La., will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Union Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown was born June 13, 1953, in Vidalia, the son of Noah and Pearl Smith Brown. He was employed by Vidalia Apparel as a forklift operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Edward Brown; and one sister, Aldrich Jean Buckner.

Survivors include two sons, Larry D. Brown Jr. and Joseph Michael Brown, both of Ontario, Calif.; four brothers, Lenard Brown and wife, Barbara, of Fort Worth, Texas, Frederick Brown and wife, Ruth, of Mobile, Ala., Marvin Brown and wife, Lynn, of Alexandria, La., and Anthony Brown and wife, Betsy, of Gulfport; four sisters, Delores Robinson and husband, L.J., and Geraldine Brown, all of Vidalia, Lorenza Perkins of Kenner, La., and Carol Brown-Ransom and husband, Dexter, of Baton Rouge; one grandson, Joseph Michael Brown Jr. of Ontario; two aunts, Lubertha Johnson and Mamie Lyons; one uncle, David Smith, all of Vidalia; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
