NATCHEZ — Services for Norma Katherine King Logan, 84, of Collins, formerly of Fayette, who died Wednesday, July 20, 2011, in Collins, will be at 2 p.m. today at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. Leopold Keffler officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Logan was active for a number of years in the Ladies Altar Society at Assumption Catholic Church. She worked at the Guardian Shelter store in Natchez for a number of years.
Mrs. Logan authored an autobiography which told famous tales of her life and her family. He was loved by a number of friends and will be remembered for her laughter and lively remembrance of jokes and stories. She shared the warmth and love of a large family and in her last days made a number of friends at Covington Nursing Center in Collins.
Mrs. Logan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John S. Logan Jr.; and one son, Julius Steven Logan.
Survivors include one daughter, Trudy M. Torrey and husband, Allen, of Terry; three sons, John W. Logan and wife, Bettye, of Prentiss, Leonard Logan of Natchez and Clifford Logan and wife, Linda, of Augusta, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Martha K. Harrison and Patsy Thomas and husband, Richard, all of Dallas.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Dykes, Jeremy Schnexayder, John C. Logan, Jack Logan, Chris Dykes and Corey Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Logan, Paul Logan, Johnny Bell and Jimmy Logan.
