Mickey and Dell Lawrence of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Nicole Lawrence to Thomas Drennon Crockett of Wesson, son of Reggie and Rita Lea of Hazlehurst and Mr. Jimmy Crockett of Wesson.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez and is attending Pearl River Community College in Hattiesburg, where she is enrolled in the occupational therapy assistant program.

She is the granddaughter of James and Mary Lou Pevey and the late Charles and Doris Floyd, all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Wesson Attendance Center, Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he received a bachelor of science degree in business administation.

He is the grandson of Travis Coleman and the late Nelly Coleman of Hazlehurst and Edward and Erma Gilmore of Wakefield, La.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Natchez. A reception will follow at the Natchez Elks Lodge on Lower Woodville Road.

Friends and family are invited.
