FERRIDAY — Services for Delores Faye Adams, 62, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, July 23, 2011, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Burial will follow at Cypress Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Adams was born May 1, 1949, the daughter of Jackie Cowan and Ethel Cowan. She was retired from Concordia Parish school system after 18 years of employment.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Cowan and one great-grandson, Jayden Martin.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Curtis Adams; her parents of Ferriday; three daughters, Tina Marle Cupstid of Vidalia, Candace Kehn of Florida and Tanya Smith and husband, Ben, of North Carolina; one brother, James Cowan of Monterey; one sister, Ethel Free and husband, Jim, of Jonesville; two grandsons, Kevin Martin and Brandon Cupstid; one granddaughter, Britainny Cupstid; six grandchildren; two great-granddaughters, Madison Martin and Madeline McCormick; and a number nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Cowan, J.L. Simpson, Mark Gardner, Mike Morace, Stanley Gardner and Stanley Malcomb.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jason Cowan.
