FERRIDAY — Services for Orangell Taylor Johnson, 78, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Jena Nursing and Rehab Center in Jena, La., will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Baptist Church in Ridgecrest with the Rev. Jessie Banks officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 23, 1933, in Ferriday, the daughter of Louis Sr. and Mary Taylor. She was a beautician.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Johnson Sr.

Survivors include three children she raised as her own, Lucinta Cephus of Ferriday, DeCarlos Cephus of Killeen, Texas and Dominque Cephus of Fort Hood, Texas; for stepdaughters, Lydia Matlock, Samantha Watson and Vina Williams, all of California, and Delcnia Cager of Ferriday; one stepson, Louis Johnson Jr. of Ferriday; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
