FERRIDAY — Services for Dave Neal, 74, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Robert Strickland officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Curtis Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Neal was born in September of 1936, the son of Edward Neal and Florida M. Neal. He was a retired construction worker and a member of St. Thomas Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Jean Neal; two sons, Dave Spurs and Elbert Spurs, all of Ferriday; and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
