NATCHEZ — Two people slept through an alleged burglary at Susie B. West apartments Thursday while a flat screen TV was stolen, according to a Natchez Police Department report.

The complainant said she left her apartment at approximately 6 a.m., leaving her back door unlocked because she neglected to take her keys with her, the report states.

When she returned at 1 p.m., she said, she discovered that the TV in her bedroom was gone, and according to the report, her daughter and grandchild had been sleeping in the apartment during that time.

Lt. Craig Godbold said no one was harmed in the alleged burglary, and there was no indication that anyone in the apartment was aware of anything being stolen.
