NATCHEZ — A Wednesday report in Adams County Sheriff’s Office’s crime records of rape on Duncan Park Road pertained to a follow-up investigation by the sheriff’s office, Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said.

Mayfield said an alleged rape reportedly occurred on Duncan Park Road in 2009, and Wednesday’s report reflects further investigations into that isolated incident.

Mayfield said Thursday he expects his offices to arrest the suspected perpetrator of the 2009 incident soon.
