UNION CHURCH — Services for Mary Fleming, 96, of Fayette, who died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. today at Hickory Block United Methodist Church in Union Church with the Rev. Burnell Newsome officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Fleming was born July 20, 1915, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Emily and Richard Bailey. She was a member of Hickory Block United Methodist Church and served on the Mother Board.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Fleming; four sons, Ray Lee, Esco, C.W. and David; one brother, Early King; and one sister, Lillie Mae Fleming.

Survivors include four devoted daughters, Lillie V. Good and L.T. Good and husband, Edward, all of Natchez, Dorothy R. Clark of Michigan and Essie Lee Johnson of New Orleans; three devoted sons, Alex Fleming and James Sanders, both of Fayette, and Johnny Fleming of Louisiana; 56 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 44 great-great-grandchildren; and special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.
