FERRIDAY — Services for Clabe “Pumpkin” Mason III, 51, of Gretna, La., who died Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at Oschner Hospital in Gretna, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church, on Bayou Drive in Ferriday, with the Rev. Lee Andrew Martin officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Mason was born May 3, 1960, in New Orleans, the son of Clabe and Dorothy Grant Mason. He was employed as a landscaper.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oliver and Lela Warren and Clabe and Rebecca Mason.

Survivors include his parents of Ferriday; four brothers, Randolph Warren, Melvin Mason and Sheldon Mason, all of New Orleans, an Shaun Mason of Ferriday; one sister, Rebecca Jones of Gretna; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
