WATERPROOF — Services for Ella Orelen, 75, of Waterproof, who died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.

Burial will follow at Helena Cemetery in St. Joseph under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Orelen was born June 16, 1936, in Waterproof, the daughter of Phil and Velta Lee Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac; two sons, Johnny Odem and Randy Odom; and one daughter, Jeanette Barden.

Survivors include two sons, Troy Odom and Isaac Oldem, both of Waterproof; five daughters, Bertha Davis of Ferriday, Cynthia Lane and husband, Leslie, of Marrero, La., Nicole Guice and husband, Jacob, and Pamela Odem of Waterproof and Trenise Frazier and husband, Tommy, of Marietta, Ga.; two brothers, James Daniels of New Orleans and Jimmie Lewis Williams of Chicago; two sisters, Deloris Haynes of Cleveland, Ohio and Irma Hornbuckle of Dallas; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
